We Are Shopify
Revenue Engineers.
We don't build generic websites. We don't run ads. We don't do brand strategy. We build high-performance Shopify infrastructure for brands that need their traffic to convert — and we fix the technical debt that's silently stopping it.
Marketing Drives Clicks.
Engineering Drives Profit.
Most agencies focus on making your store look beautiful. But when you're spending $50k+ a month on ads, a "pretty" site that takes 4 seconds to load on mobile is actively burning your money. Every dollar of ad spend you send to a 4.8-second LCP is a dollar working against you.
Webulux was founded on a simple premise: Technical friction is the enemy of scale.
We sit at the intersection of deep-level code optimization and conversion psychology. By manually eliminating "ghost scripts," refactoring Liquid themes, and streamlining checkout flows, we recover the revenue your store has been leaking for months — sometimes years.
At Webulux, we define Shopify conversion rate optimization as the process of removing the technical barriers between a high-intent visitor and a completed purchase. Not A/B testing button colors. Not installing another pop-up app. Engineering out the root causes of conversion failure at the infrastructure level.
Five Things Most Shopify
Agencies Get Wrong.
These aren't hot takes. They're conclusions drawn from auditing 150+ Shopify stores and seeing the same technical mistakes repeated at every scale — from $500k/year DTC brands to $10M+ Shopify Plus operations.
The redesign is almost never the answer.
When a store's conversion rate is flat, the instinct is to redesign — new theme, new creative, new layout. But 90% of the time, the root cause is invisible to designers: dead JavaScript from deleted apps, layout shifts during checkout, render-blocking fonts. A redesign on top of bad infrastructure is just a prettier version of the same problem.
Mobile speed is a revenue problem, not an SEO problem.
Brands optimize for Google's Core Web Vitals because they've heard it affects rankings. The more immediate truth: a 1-second LCP improvement on mobile typically produces a 7–12% CVR increase. Speed optimization is the fastest ROI in Shopify CRO — and most stores are sitting on hundreds of kilobytes of unnecessary JavaScript waiting to be removed.
A/B testing is meaningless without statistical validity.
Most Shopify A/B tests are run incorrectly — underpowered sample sizes, too many variables changed at once, JavaScript that adds load time to the test itself. We won't run an A/B test until the store's technical baseline is clean enough to trust the data. Testing a broken funnel just gives you confident answers to the wrong question.
Every CRO fix should be tied to a revenue number.
"We improved your LCP by 1.2 seconds" is useless information without knowing what that means for your CVR and revenue. Every fix we make is preceded by an estimate of its revenue impact and followed by a measurement of its actual impact. We report on money — not metrics.
Headless is an engineering decision, not a marketing one.
Headless Shopify has become fashionable. Brands move to Next.js storefronts because competitors did, or because it sounds modern. The right reason to go headless is specific and measurable: when native Shopify's architecture is provably the bottleneck preventing you from reaching a performance target that would materially impact your CVR. Otherwise, it's expensive infrastructure for its own sake.
No Retainers Until the
Audit Proves It's Worth It.
Every Webulux engagement follows the same structure — deliberately. We've found that the best outcomes come from a strict diagnostic-first approach where no code is touched until the revenue impact of each issue is quantified.
Manual audits only
We don't use automated audit tools to generate our Revenue Leak Reports. Every finding is manually identified by an engineer reading your actual Liquid code, inspecting your app stack, and analyzing your Core Web Vitals data in context — not in isolation. Automated tools miss ghost scripts. They miss conflicting third-party integrations. They miss the specific Liquid patterns causing your layout shifts. Engineers don't.
Fixed scope, not open retainers
We don't sell open-ended retainers to brands that don't need them. Speed Optimization and Conversion Engineering engagements are project-scoped with defined deliverables and a fixed timeline — typically 14–21 days from audit to deployment. You know exactly what you're getting and when. Ongoing retainers are only recommended for brands where continuous CRO testing produces compounding returns above the retainer cost.
Revenue accountability, not vanity metrics
We don't report on "improvements." We report on CVR change, revenue impact, and ROAS delta — measured against a clean pre-intervention baseline, over a minimum 30-day window. If a fix didn't move revenue, it doesn't go in the report as a win.
We'll tell you if we're not the right fit
If your store's conversion problem is a creative issue, a product-market fit issue, or an ad targeting issue — we'll tell you on the discovery call. Our work produces results when the root cause is technical infrastructure. If it isn't, we'd rather point you to the right resource than take a project we can't deliver results on.
We Are Revenue Engineers.
Not Designers. Not Marketers.
We are not:
- ✕ A full-service marketing agency
- ✕ A Shopify theme design studio
- ✕ A paid media or ads management team
- ✕ A copywriting or brand strategy agency
- ✕ A white-label CRO provider for other agencies
- ✕ A fit for stores under 50k monthly visitors
We are:
- ✓ A technical Shopify CRO engineering team
- ✓ Specialists in ghost script removal and Liquid refactoring
- ✓ Core Web Vitals engineers who target specific LCP and CLS thresholds
- ✓ Checkout friction analysts who quantify abandonment by technical cause
- ✓ Next.js headless architects for brands at performance ceilings
- ✓ The team for stores where the problem is infrastructure, not creative
What Our Work Produces.
These benchmarks are averages across all completed Webulux engagements — not cherry-picked best cases. Individual results vary based on the technical debt present in each store.
Measured over a 60-day post-optimization window using Shopify Analytics. Excludes stores where external variables (ad spend, seasonality) changed significantly during the measurement period.
From audit delivery to first confirmed CVR improvement. Technical fixes — ghost script removal, LCP optimization — produce immediate impact because they address root causes, not symptoms.
Measured as LCP before vs. LCP after, on mobile, using Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX) data — not lab conditions.
Across Shopify Plus, high-volume standard Shopify, and headless storefronts. Industries: apparel, health, B2B SaaS, beauty, electronics, and home goods.
